Frank opened Minit Mart in 1990 after moving to the area, and the deli and grill has been the anchor of this corner ever since. Rain or shine, hurricane or quiet summer day, the doors have opened every single day without exception. Along the way, Frank built out one of the widest selections in the area: snacks, drinks, and grocery aisles stocked deep enough to rival the big convenience chains, with just about every flavor you can think of.
Named after the neighborhood.
Take a look at the menu and you'll spot local sports teams, hometown departments, and even the people behind the counter, a small nod to the community this store has served since 1990. Order a Bergenfield Police, a Dumont Fire, a Bergenfield Bears, or an O'Neill, and you're ordering a piece of the neighborhood: the Yankees, Mets, Jets, Giants, Devils, Nets, and Rangers are all on there too, alongside the Bergenfield and Dumont DPW, the Ambulance Corp, the Bergenfield and Dumont Police, and the Huskies. And The Frank Special? That's named after Frank, the owner.
